Infospeed produced mock-ups of ideas for dealing with a number of issues (outlined below), and after much input and discussion with schools are confident that appropriate changes to Class will proceed early next year.
Many thanks to all users attending the meeting, and despite the meeting being well over subscribed, we managed to squeeze in 18!
Many thanks to Tony Millns and his team at English UK for all their help.
There has been much discussion about the requirements of the new Points Based Entry System of the UK Border Agency and ways perhaps that Class could help in administering some of the processes.
We would really value your input into this area and to this end we have arranged a meeting on Tuesday 2nd December (10.00 for 10.30, lasting approx 3 hours) to be held in London, at English UK, with the participation of Tony Milns (Chief Executive of English UK).
We wish to consult as wide as possible to ensure what is cost effective and practical to be done via Class is done, and in a timely manner. Many of you may have had recent visits from the Borders Agency and can provide a practical insight as to the likely practical requirements.
There is limited accommodation at English UK (max 12) so it will be first come etc. and limited to 1 from each school/school group. An agenda will be issued prior to the meeting but topics will include, in relation to Class:
In relation to the above, we will show some ideas (based around our current understanding of the rules) on how Class might help. At the end of the meeting there will time be to "bend the ear" of Infospeed's Development Director (Mike Parsons) and also to discuss any issue with Carol Davies (Support director).
