Class Web development – update

Development continues apace on Class Web, the next generation of Class!
In recent months we have taken on 2 additional developers to the project to ensure we are making as much progress as possible. The work by our development team has so far been based mainly on the background business logic and coding which is being completely re-written to ensure that Class Web is faster, easier to use and is capable of powerful integration, future proofing Class for many years to come.
However in the last 2 months, we have also welcomed a skilled front-end Web interface developer onto the team who is now developing the first user screens. This is bringing Class Web to life and is an exciting time for us.
The Teacher Portal has been chosen for the initial screen developments, however soon work is starting on the Core Module.
If you want any details on the progress and timelines for Class Web, don’t hesitate to contact sales@infospeed.co.uk and Gary or Yasmin will be happy to update you.
I would be interested to see what functionality will be added in the new version. Will CLASS be easier to use, be able to provide information in a wider range of formats rather than just existing reports?
Thanks Nigel, I can say emphatic yes to all of the above. A lot of work is going into making Class easier to use with Action buttons and work flows made more obvious. I’ll call you to discuss BI reporting too which I hope you will find very interesting indeed. Feel free to input into the debate. The Forum will be up and running in the new year for exactly that!
