What are Assessments and how do I use them in Class?

The purpose of assessments is to record the student marks, typically at the end of a course before moving onto University. The marks can be weighted according to assessment type and course structure. Exit marks can also be recorded which are usually held for information purposes only.

How do I add Embassy Bookings using the ‘Terms’ option for invoicing?

The ‘Terms’ option within Class can be used for Embassy bookings where the Embassy pays 12 weeks at a time (or 4 weeks).  This allows the full course dates to be entered at the time the enrolment is entered rather than adding the first 12 weeks then invoicing, then adding the next 12 weeks and invoicing, and so on.

Is it possible to record student absence?

Yes this is possible, however users wishing to make use of absence recording will need the Attendance module.

The absence can be recorded at the same time the attendance is added or separately and you can run the absence reporting.  The absence report will check across classes/courses/enrolments/schools for continuous absence, which then enables you to send out documentation advising the student.

How do I use the timetabling in Class?

It is possible to create you own registers and Class lists within class

Classing document creation is the same as “enrolment” document creation. There are a number of sample documents which may be pasted into Classing documents and used as examples. If you do not have copies of these documents please request them from Support.

Yes this is possible, however users wishing to make use of attendence recording will need the Attendance module.

The attendance recording can be added on a daily or a weekly basis as either a batch or individually to a students record.

This then enables you to produce a report to show students failing to reach attendance percentages for a given period.

Also you can include the resulting percentages with documents e.g. certificates.
